What people actually call about
This list is Golden Leaf's own — it is published on their troubleshooting page as the faults they get called out for. What their page does not say is what each one tends to mean once someone is standing in front of it. That is the part worth knowing before you pick up the phone, and it is true whether or not you call them.
Tell them which one it isWeekdays 7:30–5. The emergency line runs outside those hours.

We had a list of small repair items. Chris did a great job diagnosing issues and repairing – mostly light switches. Also fixed two outdoor “safety” lights. He explained everything as he went along, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend this company and Chris!

Since 2005
Golden Leaf Electrical has been working across Metro Vancouver since 2005 — long enough that the neighbourhoods on their list are not a marketing radius but a record of where they have actually been. Nineteen cities, from Steveston Village and Ironwood in Richmond out to Maple Ridge, Mission and Abbotsford.
They describe themselves as a small, locally owned business, and as a 100% BC owned and operated provider of quality electrical services to residential and commercial customers in British Columbia. Their team is employed rather than subcontracted, their service trucks are cell-phone dispatched, and their vans carry thousands of quality electrical parts so that most jobs finish on the first visit rather than the second.
The thing they are proudest of is the one they say most often, on every page: a Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee on all labour performed by their team. If work they did fails because of how it was done, they come back and repair it at no cost — with no end date on the offer. In a trade where the warranty usually expires long before the wiring does, that is an unusual thing to put in writing.
Their published menu is wider than the pages here. These are theirs, in their own terms.
One credential here is not self-reported, which is rare enough to be worth its own panel.
Their own customers keep naming the person who showed up — Chris, Peter, Miro, and Yvonne who booked it — and then asking for them again by name.
As a senior living on my own I felt extremely confident that the job would be estimated fairly and done professionally

I needed help on two different occasions for small electrical repair jobs. I am so happy with both results. Chris is professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, and was able to diagnose and fix both issues quickly. As a senior living on my own I felt extremely confident that the job would be estimated fairly and done professionally. After my initial contact with the company one of my jobs was done on the same day I called in. I also want to mention that I really appreciate that this company will do smaller jobs. From my first call to Golden Leaf to the completion of the job it was a great experience and I was kept in the loop from start to finish. Oh…..and a great seniors discount!!!
We recently had our kitchen renovated by Modus, which is the contractor IKEA works with. Modus arranged for Goldleaf to do the electrical work. To us, that was already a vote of confidence for Goldleaf; Modus has steady work coming from IKEA, so probably chooses contractors carefully. Chris from Goldleaf didn't disappoint. He was professional and did a great job. We're very happy with his work. Bonus: he was on time each time he visited. I have no reservations in recommending Chris from Goldleaf.
The things homeowners usually want to know before they let anyone in the door.
Yes. All our of electricians are licensed, bonded, and insured.
It certainly is. We are so confident in our team of technicians that we offer a lifetime warranty on our labour. If any work we have done fails as a result of poor workmanship we will repair it at no cost to you. Of course we will also honour the manufactures guarantee on equipment used to complete your job.
We believe you should always know how much a job will cost in advance. If you hire us you will always be quoted a competitive price up front. You are assured the work will be carried out efficiently with no nasty surprises at the end.
Our electricians arrive on site ready and prepared to work. We will walk you through the estimate and wait for your approval before commencing any services.
We have a highly skilled team of electricians who cover the entire lower mainland. All of our service trucks are cell phone dispatched for instant communication. There is a good chance we'll have a guy right in your neighbourhood or very close to it. We carry thousands of quality electrical parts in our service vans to better serve you.
Absolutely! No job is too small for us, give us a call and we will be more than happy to help you with all your electrical needs, big or small, residential or commercial.
Yes! Our mission is to provide you with an incredible SENIORS DISCOUNT OF 10% which can be applied on the first hour of troubleshooting work completed.
We accept cash, cheque, and interac e-transfer.
Yes. Alongside troubleshooting, panels and lighting, Golden Leaf install security systems — surveillance, motion-sensor lighting and landscape lighting — and wall-mounted flatscreens and home theatre, with the cabling concealed in the wall. Both are on their own service list and both are quoted the same way as everything else: you see the estimate before anything starts.
One of their own electricians, in a stocked van. Golden Leaf employ their team rather than subcontracting the work out, and their customers tend to name the person who came — Chris, Peter, Miro — and then ask for them again by name the next time. Their own reviews are full of exactly that.
I recently hired Golden Leaf Electrical to do some work on my kitchen renovation. I was highly impressed with their organization, professionalism and service. Everything was on time, on budget and very well done. Miro, in particular, did an amazing job. I would highly recommend Golden Leaf.
I am very pleased with Gold Leaf Electrical. Peter has come twice now to do two separate jobs for me, some outlet upgrades and ballast work. He is very well informed of his work, works promptly, is very courteous and polite and arrived on time. His quotes are always accurate. I requested him this past time and will continue to do so again. Thanks again Peter!!
When a fire forced us to do a fast reno, we couldn't wait for "affordable" friends. It was also crucial that work be done to code. We chose GLE as they were readily available. Peter arrived on time, provided the promised quote (reasonable), and got to work. He was courteous and had additional good ideas.
Excellent Company ! Professional and honest electricians. We had 3 estimates taken by our general contractor. Their quote was most reasonable. We were very pleased with their service. Would highly recommend. A+++
I needed a bathroom fan installed and I called Golden Leaf to book an appointment. They had an elect rician in my area able to come later that afternoon! The electrician gave me a fair priced estimate and went ahead with the work right away. Very polite people, good service and got the work done in a time efficient manner! Would recommend.
Special thanks to Yvonne for her responsive scheduling and excellent customer service.
Chris will call you back on the number you left.
